Over the years Vans Slam City Jam has been committed to bringing skating and music together.
In fact, Vans Slam City Jam originally developed out of one of Canada's premiere music festivals of the 1990's called Music West.
There's so much talent in our own backyard, and for various reasons they are seldom heard locally. We'd like to do our part in helping to expose this talent to the masses.

Hosting over 60 local performers including bands playing punk, hardcore, rock, alternative, and live hip hop - MCs rapping, beatboxing and spoken word - DJs dropping reggae, rock, hip hop, and collaborative tunrtablism on 4 decks - plus a b-boy / b-girl showcase!
