Colin Langenus is a cofounder of USAISAMONSTER, touring with it around the world and releasing 7 LP’ s over 9 years. Colin has been involved in the DIY USA scene for over 15 years, cocreating Massive Distribution, which has over 100 releases. Described as his new 9 piece orchestra for 4 guitars, 2 drummers, 1 bass, and 2 keyboards, Colin L Orechstra delivers music that is not loud. Rather, it is swirling breaths of psychedelic improvisation around mellow minimalism. Falsetto vocals sung in unison by a choir. 9 nice dudes playing nice & easy. Sounds like if Shuggie Otis joined the Dead and only played Dark Star. http://www.facebook.com/ColinLOrchestra ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Invisible Circle (Brooklyn) Droning psychedelic world music http://invisiblecircle.bandcamp.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Altered States of the United Snakes Dark, dissonant, psychedelic noise punk. http://pagantigerswingband.bandcamp.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- JFK Didn't Even See It Coming LOUD AS FUCK! http://jfkdidntevenseeitcoming.bandcamp.com/ |

"Musically speaking, though, he's undergone a drastic transformation over the last year and a half. Kicking the noise rock to the curb, Langenus now oversees two groups: the CSC Funk Band, a large and unruly ensemble churning out eccentric Afrobeat for freakers and weirdoes, and the Colin L. Orchestra, another big band that produces a cloudy blend of classic rock, country folk, and Rhys Chatham-inspired minimalism" -- Justin Farrar, The Village Voice |
