Deceptively downbeat Scotish quartet The Delgados are in the midst of booking an April U.S. tour with their bewhiskered Chemikal Underground labelmates Aereogramme. The Delgados' 2002 album Hate just received its U.S. release in January via Beggars Banquet, while opening act Aereogramme just issued their latest, Sleep and Release, on February 18th on Matador. Both received 8.0+ marks from those studly Chippendales lookalikes over at this site called Pitchfork, which you should check out if given the means. It is so choice. Tour dates:

Aereogramme will also play a handful of solo dates in preparation for their stint with The Delgados. Rumors that they will cover Alanis Morrisette, Kylie Minogue, and Jars of Clay as part of a sell-out gag on their April Fool's show remain unconfirmed.

Maybe I'll catch the Montreal show, its at the same venue where I saw Supergrass and the Coral last week, and its a really chill club. That reminds me, I have to finish up my piece on that show. It was fookin' great(the show I mean. Who knows about the piece)!

I am so pissed that I'll miss the Aerogramme as I like the new CD quite a bit like Chip. However, I am looking forward to the Les Savy Fav show at the Factory the following week on April 7th. I've loved their "Go Forth" album for a long time now. For you Columbusites, try to make the show. You won't regret it!
