I've never been a listener. I tried some of those songs at npr and didn't get it. What kinds of stuffs does he write about. I'm curious, because I just finished building a 20-foot diamond for his tour. |

We tried to stream it in the shop this morning while working on his marley flooring. To me, it sounds as if it was made simply for touring. A spectacle. None of us ever want to hear it again. |

So I've spent some more time with this album, and I'm actually starting to come around. |

I expected that. I'm curious, what's some of the the subject matter of this album? |

I don't pick up a consistent theme. All the big ideas-- love, death, God. |

Wrote about it a bit for (Not to be "that guy" who just links to his own stuff... Too tired to rehash it all here.) |

Just listened to the whole thing this morning. First take: I think this was written for indie music reviewers to dissect and labor upon in painstaking detail before hesitantly declaring it "genius," and not much else. Is it interesting in some way that viewing 45 colors of spilled paint would be? Sure. Good? No. I feel the strange need to make a cup of chai tea and stare out the window while doing a crossword puzzle or something. |
