I am most vehemently opposed to songs that tell me I should feel good, and be happy. If I wanna be a drag I can.

1. That Sheryl Crow song that I always hear in target/kohls/the seventh level of hell. She says she wants to soak up the sun and tell everyone to lighten up. I want to tell her to shut it, and shut it hard.

2. That song by Jason Mraz where he says he won't worry his life away. I used to hear this constantly on the bus when I was a YMCA camp counselor in college. White frat boy rap.

3. Don't worry be Happy. Shut up Bobby, and get Robin Williams' hairy forearms out of your video.

Those were the three worst offenders I can think of in that category. Other songs I hate:

4. Freedom by Paul McCartney. This song was inspired by 911, but was much harder to bear than the actual tragedy.

5. With Arms Wide Open by Creed. Making fun of Creed is like shooting retarded fish in a retarded barrel, but boy oh boy this song is so bad it's almost awesome.

well.. it is the worst ROCK songs of all time, so bobby mcfarren gets a pass... regardless of how incredibly suicidal it makes you.

ANYTHING by genesis/collins.

I am a big fan of In The Air Tonight. I just wish I could find the version that they play on the radio with the bongos. It is so sexy.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around "The Seeker" by The Who being named on this thread. It isn't even the worst Who tune, much less one of the worst rock tunes of all time.

I mean, even their worst songs are better than other bands best. I'd gladly admit that they have some clunkers, but The Seeker is fucking awesome classic Who stuff.

My vote for worst Who song would be "Athena", and it is still better than all of TOTO's best moments threaded together.
