If you listen to metal and stoner rock, it was a pretty fucking awesome decade. High On Fire, Mastodon, Boris, Big Business, The Melvins and the melding of the last two bands saved my soul.

And Tom Waits released a box set that has enough great material to last me through this decade and beyond, not to mention Blood Money and Alice.

Fuck, that was good decade as long as you ignore the charts! Just like any other decade.
