it's true. all you have to do is call and cough up the dough.

i thought the part about other studios with broken/crap gear was funny, because while we were there steve was wrestling (literally physically maneuvering) one of the channels in the studio B board so that it would make sound. loose connection or something. that said, i know they have a full time tech there to repair stuff, as well as interns.

despite what the interview said, they totally pampered us. ok, maybe not, but they did make us fancy coffee in the morning. they have really good coffee.

for the two days we were there, he was kinda freaking out about how they were going to pay bills, since he was about to leave for two weeks to get married and go on a honeymoon. he was going through his record collection to sell off rare vinyl that he thought would fetch a solid price. something about a handmade, tour-only GWAR 7" that he would never listen to again...

we did work with him on a tuesday (his day off, supposedly), but it was a half-day. after we left, steve and his soon-to-be-wife went to go see g-force. he showed us a t-shirt that had 16 wolves on it.

i think the most awesome part was when we finished the mixes and steve handed the tapes over to us and the whole staff came to the studio to say "congratulations" to us. goes along with that whole "rooting for the band 100%" thing he mentioned in the interview.
