I don't love Living Colour but, of course, they WERE part of the late '80s hard rock explosion that I'm still so fond of so I did own the first two cassettes. Listened to the new one and it sounds like classic Living Colour. I think track 10 was the heavy one and maybe my favorite. The one where they threw in some of the "Cha Cha Slide" lyrics was just a tad bit lame ("Now move to the left ... move to the right ...").
A nice effort, a nice "comeback". I remember they played at the LC a few years ago and everywhere I turned I saw a stack of free tickets but I didn't manage to actually make it to the show. I'd go see them if the came to Little Brothers
Bonus story: They may have been one of the last bands I met at an in-store signing at Camelot in Westgate Mall (BAVox, can I get a 'hell yeah'?). I was with my girlfriend and I think they were hitting on her. One of the guys (can't remember which .... hell, this was 1989!) asked her name and then made up a song, "Jenny Jenny, you're like a lucky penny". I took photos on my Disc camera
but never got them developed
