I finally listened to the new record a bunch of times at work this week, and it is really, really good. I didn't much care for that Woke on a Whaleheart record that he released last year (?), so I'm relieved that this one is as good as it is. All of the arrangements add tremendously to the appeal of the songs. Some of the solo versions at Used Kids were a tad bit boring... |

Today the NPR Music podcaster/blogger delegation posted a video of Bill playing three songs as part of their tiny desk series. In an even tighter space than the Used Kids stage, he manages to squeeze a four-piece backing band with additional guitar, strings, and snare drum.
