Just wondering if anyone caught the show last night? I have seen them every time they have come to Columbus since Youth and Young Manhood. I heard this tour favored Aha Shake... What's the scoop? |

This is the fourth or fifth time I've seen KoL, and honestly, it was the best I've seen them. My only hang up with their live show had been that their stage presence was virtually non existent: Stationary behind the microphone, tune in between songs, repeat. Not the case this time. There was a lot of energy on the stage, from all members... which might have had something to do with the energy in the audience. Either way, it was a vast improvement. The set list was actually a healthy mix of the newest album and the older stuff... seriously, it felt like they played every single song off the new disc, but still managed to play a good number of tunes from the first three discs. They played for what seemed like forever... with a four song encore... Standouts: Charmer, Cold Desert, Crawl, a slowed down Molly's Chambers, Black Thumbnail was the shit. Trani was fuckin sweet. |
