I don't know if this is common knowledge, so I'll share it here. Something I read on another message board a while back. If this is against terms of service, let me know and I will delete it. Just passing the info on.
Let's say you were looking for some Ozzy Osbourne music.
Go to google and paste this in the seach box:
zip|rar|exe|ace (rapidshare.de/files/)|(rapidshare.com/files)|(megaupload.com/) -forbidden -inactivity -found -deleted Ozzy Osbourne
or you can just click this link:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=zi ... y+OsbourneIt will bring up sites that have .rar or .zip files containing Ozzy Osbourne in them.
In order to search for other artists, just change the artist name at the end of the string in the google toolbox.
One caveat, beware of what you download! Make sure it isn't harmful files or viruses. Some of the search results will be websites that have .rar files in their code in order to pop up in searches and will lead to pay sites. You have to scour around a bit, or so I've been told.
If you are looking for mp3s, you can paste this into a google seach box:
-inurl:(htm|html|php) intitle:"index of" +"last modified" +"parent directory" +description +size +(wma|mp3) "Neil Diamond"
or click the link below, and again, then just change the artist name in the search box.
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=-i ... Diamond%22Again, beware (or be aware) what you download.
