I think I got over bands selling their songs to mega corps a few years ago. Good for the Brazilian musicians for putting their kids through college with ad money. What's more unsettling is the message this commercial sends: "I'm a loser, but who gives a shit because this Happy Meal will make me forget about being a loser for the next hour or so because McDonald's controls my brain. Yay." It seems to be THE mantra that generation has been fed as of late. Those kids are fucked. |

hell, i was happy just to have a faygo after my little league and soccer teams inevitably lost. same as it ever was. but actually, though mcd's is hardly the best choice to illustrate it, the idea that even though something that seems so fucking important totally failed you still have something to look forward to is an ok one. i guess. though their particular message might be more "you gave it your all and that wasn't enough, but at least you can still go buy something." everybody's rapping like it's a commercial acting like life is a big commercial -the genius mike d. |

i think that the "message" that this commercial sends is...
