I'd second Green Mind. That's the Dinosaur album that I go back to more than any other and it's quality is uniformly high.

If it's still available, there was a CD called Fossils that collected three of their early singles, (Little Fury Things, Freak Scene & Just Like Heaven I think) and that's pretty cool as well.

the just like heaven 12" (i think it's just like heaven) is effin' awesome... one entire side of it is this big etching, all over the vinyl and everything.

i would have to say that "you're living all over me" is the finest to date, as you can nearly taste the tension between barlow and mascis that made the original band rock so hard. though "green mind" is nothing to shake a stick at. "bug" is exceptional too. freak scene is an anthem for all times. "more light", a fog effort is every bit as good as his mid-period stuff. i'm still testing the newest one out but it ain't slouchin' yet.

I like all these records. I like starting with the earliest best (imo) stuff and then moving my way up, I guess. The Wagon *still* rocks my pathetic little world. Green Mind has the best cover art as well.
