Without spoiling too much of the set list, just let me say if you're a fan of Talking Heads, particularly Fear of Music and Remain in Light, then you need to catch this tour. Byrne is in Indianapolis tomorrow night and November 7 he's in Pittsburgh.

He had dancers on this tour and they and everyone in the band was dressed in white from head to toe. The choreography worked sometimes and other times it was a distraction. What disappointed me is the band was way in the back of the stage. It was difficult to see from the balcony what the percussionist and keyboardist were up to. The focus was all Byrne and the dancers.

All the instruments and mics were wireless and the musicians wore those ear pieces, so the stage was completely uncluttered with wires and monitors which allowed Byrne to move about and dance freely.

This is my second time seeing Byrne live and I was impressed with his guitar playing. I think he knows his abilities and limitations; he doesn't overdo it. His voice hasn't lost any power in the 25 years since Stop Making Sense, and the harmonies with the back-up singers on the songs off Everything that Happens... were beautiful.

If you're a fan of Byrne's post-Heads material, be warned that you'll get nothing but the new record and Byrne-Eno-era Heads, with a couple surprises thrown in. I had no issues with the set-list, and neither did the fans in the balcony, who lept to their feet several times during the set to dance in the aisles.
