i used to like rainer maria a lot.
their first two albums were both pretty good.

and i always thought they were good live.

haven't heard the new one yet though.

Though it's nothing ground-breaking, I don't mind their music. They've got a decent live show too. It's their attitude that sucks. They royally screwed over a couple of local bands their last time through town and tried to pull the "You don't know what it's like to be on the road," BS. Come on, show SOME respect. Atleast try to be somewhat respectful when you take the ENTIRE door, even though that's a crappy move in itself.

really? that's too bad. they were always really cool to me when i talked to them. seemed really willing to setup shows together, etc. oh well.

the fun ranier maria was the quiet...core sound from way long ago... it was so emotional. i loved the pink cd they had and i memorized it to death and cried over boyfriends many a time singing to that song (the reason the night is long, is very simple...) anyway, i heard they have a new release, and i have yet to hear it. all in all, the self-titled rocks my socks.

i completely agree.
and even their first record -- when that first song kicks in...

it was always a great sing along.
