Well the first four months of o6 have just about up and left in a big hurry and........oh, what the hell have I done with my life. Who can say really. What a disappointment. No wonder I logged onto this forum! Anyhoo.......it's bout time to make a quarterly report and who better to do it than my own sweet self considering nobody else on this here forum is gonna lift a cotton pickin' finger to lend a hand and oh why do i bother?
Bestest rereleases for 06 so faaaaaaaaaaaar..............
Jesu/Silver - Well if you kiddies havent heard this one yet then it's about jolly well time you did. Even tho I'm probably wasting my breath trying to promote this album with you lot, since not a one amongst you in their right mind is going to sudddenly give up on the Flamming Lips or the Arctic Monkeys and start listening tosome decent music for a change. No that'd be too much to ask wouldn't it? Wouldn't it?!?
Cowtown punkabilly heathens.
Final/3 - Well, I suppose you can't have one Justin Broadrick masterpiece w/o t'other. The darkhorse in my book for 2006. No lie. This one will sneak up on ya. A perfect mix of guitar loops, sonic residue, ambience and gray colored landscapes. This one is going with me when i go hiking next week at Old mans cave. Broadrick is a genius. Now if he'd only shake hands with Gira & Jarboe and help resurrect the swans. Ahhhh.....well....back to reality.
Tool/ 10, 000 Days - ( sniff ) Now look what you've gone and done Maynard, lil buddy. I'm ........oh to hell with it all.just bought this at target on Tues and can say it is quite possibly the greatest album (apart from Rush) ever released by a band with a one syllable name. maynard has a solo disc coming out in September. Most of the tracks will be sung in French and Brian Eno does a a bitchin' whilstling solo soundscape on hidden song #9.
Still holding out for :
Earth/ ?
Halo/?
Rush/?
Robert Fripp/?
