that's right. i like hip hop, too. in fact, when it sounds like this, i love it. i first saw these guys almost a year ago at scarlet & grey playing to a crowd of about 20-30 people. i dug 'em then, and i dug 'em last night when they packed an extremely full house at little bros for their first full-length lp release. scraps' freestyling is prime, and every aspect of the group is strong. holy shit, lyrics that mean something? and guitars? in hip hop?? indeed. and i want more.
blending genres can be an incredibly good thing.
and it can also go very wrong.... *cough*audioslave*cough*
