so i only lissened to it once or twice and i must say, i am kind of disappointed. i was kinda impressed with the david bowie cover of "sound and vision" but otherwise, i was wishing they'd rock out like they used to. what's goin' on, sam?

They're coming to COlumbus very soon, I've never heard any of their music so I dont know if I should be in it to win it.

i never liked the sea and cake very well. i love archer prewitt's solo stuff though, so i've decided it must be sam prekop that i'm not into.

The Sea and Cake will be playing at Mershon in Columbus next month with the Circulatory System, an Elephant 6 band (Neutral Milk Hotel, Apples in Stereo) who put out a good album last year.

I'm not sure what Methodmal is talking about when he mentions them rocking out like they used to because the Sea and Cake never really rocks out, nor does the Sam Prekop solo LP. They are more of a jazzy, mellow popish band than straight out rockers. I have Nassau which I like alot and I also like Shrimp Boat (Sam Prekop's pre-Sea and Cake band) quite a bit, especially Cavale - they rocked out more than the Sea and Cake.
