Fresh Street rules. Period. They should have their own restaurant. |

i've had all their balls. The takoyaki balls are great, but admittedly the chunk of octopus is way different than anything else i've ever eaten - especially in contrast to the mushy on the inside/cripsy on the outside fried little ball. Just watching misako fiddle with the toothpicks to make the damn things is worth the trip! also, they usually have other non-traditional takoyaki options (i've had a sausage option and a sweet corn option that were both excellent.) if you dig on swine these guys do porkbelly like nobody's business. The more savory the option, the more delightful. You really can't go wrong. And the entree prices are pretty reasonable for the food quality and the amount of prep/cooktime involved. highly reommended. In fact, the only thing I have to complain abt is that, now that they have a physical space at late night slice, they never randomly show up in my northern neck of the woods bearing delicious crepes. But hey, food tastes better the harder you work for it! |
