Has anyone else gotten the book yet? I got mine about two weeks ago, finally made a batch last night. It worked out beautifully.

yeah, it came out the week of my b'day, so my girl pre-ordered it for me. i was so blown away with the book that before i even made my 1st batch i bought the iBook version as well, cuz it had 10 little awesome "how-to" videos that made me feel WAY more comfortable doing an ice cream recipe so drastically different than the one i've been cultivating for years. if you haven't yet i highly suggest giving jeni an extra 11 bucks and grabbing the i version as well. it's worth it just for the salty caramel video alone.

Sriracha syrup! Holy cow. Is that vegan? If so, what sort of sorbet do you think it would be good on? My sister-in-law is vegan and LOVES sriracha with a passion. Making her a sorbet with a sri-ri syrup would be amazing.

And yeah, that forum is good. I started reading it before I even got the book.

Thinking about making tweaking the Buckeye State and using spekuloos (Belgian spread that is peanut buttery in texture, but tastes like gingersnap cookies) instead of peanut butter. Mmmmm.

well, its hours later and i went with a batch of an espresso variation on the black coffee ice cream. haven't decided if im adding any crunchies or swirls to it, or if i should just leave it as is.



hmmn, i DO have a spicy mayan chocolate syrup already around here. the cinnamon in it would swirl in nicely with this, and i wouldn't have to do anything from scratch this morning . . .
