I fully endorse this thread.

I had Zamarellis pizza recently. We were down in Grove City recording and all the local Grove Citians told us that we had to have Zamarellis. It was the best pizza in Columbus. And for people whose Stringtown Road exit contains 95% food places. I was ready to try it. Yeah, not that impressed. Maybe it was just me. Maybe it was the pizza. Try it yourself and see.

Also had Massey's Pizza off 161 / Dublin-Granville. Another "supposed" award winning pizza. Ok. Tasy. But not worth the price. Reminded me a lot of like Donatos. What else is on your list coming up?

Don't let the strip mall location fool you. The entire family, including the grandma, work there every day.

I also had pizza at a place called Emelio's in Hilliard on Main Street a few years ago that was awesome. No frills, no bs, just great pizza, but I can't find any info online or in the phone book, so maybe they closed.

Iacono's pizza is good too, they have 4 locations around Columbus.

What about that new joint on Northwest in Grandview / Arlington (across the street from Kroger and Blockbuster)? I think it's called Marono's. I hear it's really good pizza pie.

places that should not serve pizza: Dominos, Pizza Hut, Gumbys

Perhaps its a matter of taste but i cannot stand these pizzas. Would prefer a frozen pie in place of any of these.

The thing I like about his pizza blog, as well as this thread, that it shows, no matter where you live in Columbus (or almost anywhere), you can get good pizza without visiting one of the horrid chains that sell what passes for pizza.
