Saw this article over the weekend. I thought it was actually pretty good: its real slant of course wasn't about Columbus but about how cities often struggle with branding images, which, to be fair, has been a long-time problem for the city's utter lack of marketing panache.
I think article was very fair, and did mention a few of Columbus' strong points, which (besides football and the zoo), includes a good economy and history as a progressive leader. It practically goes to editorializing lengths to commend the city : "How many cities can boast of having one of the largest county fairs and also one of the largest gay pride parades?" I consider that a compliment.
