iPhone and iPad users, I know we all have loads of games apps, but what about music apps.

List your top 3 music apps.

This Day in Music - tons of music facts for every day of the year.

Shazam - I just think this is brilliant!

Finger Piano - I can knock out the odd tune.

Do many groups have their own apps? I've not seen many.

If you have an iPad, the NFB app is amazing.

For some cool experimental music/sound/processing apps check here:

Haven't got it yet, but there's also an iOS port of Rebirth, too.

Sonoma's studio track is great on my iPad. It's a multitrack recorder. It doesn't do simultaneous inputs or anything, but it's great for sketching ideas whenever. The built in mic works pretty well, but with the iPad connector kit, you can actually run a USB mic (blue snowball in my case), or some USB sound interfaces.

Stupid iPhone question:

you know how when you turn the phone on its side the screen turns with it, horizontally? Is there any way to disable that shit? I hate it!

there is no option to turn it off, unless your phone is jailbroken. (which is not illegal now! http://news.cnet.com/8301-31021_3-20011 ... eStories.0)
I did find this little blurb on the interwebs and not sure it will help or not.
"The other day I was lying on my side, trying to read a web page on the iPhone. I turned the iPhone 90° clockwise, but it obligingly re-rotated the text 90° counter-clockwise, leaving me again out of sync. I grumbled something about the irritation of being outmaneuvered by a handheld gadget. Amy’s brilliant suggestion: rotate it another 90° CCW. Since the iPhone doesn’t offer 180° rotation, this left the text rotated 90° in alighnment with my head.

He’s right: Safari rotates the first 90 degrees, but not the second, leaving Safari’s window in the perfect position for reading in bed. A simple tip, but one that will immeasurably improve my night-time NewsGator browsing."

yeah you can turn it off. Double tap the home button and slide left, the button all the way on the left enables and disables screen rotations.
