I recently became aware of the term "Kroghetto". Clever. Although, it's a ghetto Kroger, not a Kroger ghetto. That would be an area of town dominated by many Krogers. Krogers on every corner. Shopping carts littering the sidewalks and rolling across busy streets. Instead of crack houses, there'd be deli counters and small hardware sections. Instead of pimps, there would be non-union managers. All drug sales would be legit.

Well, I did not coin the name Kroghetto, but that is what everyone, well most everyone I know has used in reference to the Kroger at 7th and High since the late 80's/early 90's when that part of town was way more ghetto than it is these days.
