i know you're reading this, lebron, so if you're going to leave cleveland, at least leave a winner.

Just to keep things even, LeBron should retire. Really early, too, so it matches how fast he got in the NBA. Quick in, quick out, it will set new standards and blow minds.

He's not going anywhere.

yeah, that was really depressing. the team seems like it's falling apart. mike brown has the rotation totally screwed up, and everyone just rolled over in that second half.

i'm afraid we're only a few days away from going back to the world where the most notable moment of the season is ricky davis shooting at his own basket in an attempt to get a triple double.

oh lawd, not the davis days

seriously wtf brown, just picking and choosing dudes on a whim to enter an NBA playoff game is not a blueprint for a championship

and sitting Lebron 3/4's into the 2nd quarter last night was plain asanine, that started the slippery slope to a 30 point loss.

If he leaves, he leaves, but he will always have the asterisk of not getting it done in Cland attached to his career. At this point we can sign a free agent or 2 next year and be in position to be blown out in the 2nd round of the Eastern conference playoffs

oh yeah and FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK FUCK!!!! :wall: :wall:     :wall: :| :?: :x :wall:

I feel your pain guys. sorry about the suckness of the situation overall...
at least you have an NBA BAsketball team :?:

also, dontcha kinda think that it was a huuuuuge mistake not getting rid of Brown at some point over the last few seasons?

well to a point , brown has been a coach in title only. Lebron calls a lot of shots. Attempting to bring a bigger personality/better known coach in would of rocked the boat

They have won 127 games over the last 2 years, however when everyone is firing on all cylinders they look lost. Bron calls a lot of the shots, but its the coaches job and top priority to have a solid game plan and the team focused (see Doc Rivers)

LBJ = biggest quitter in sports history?

He should leave for NY. Then he can go get his nails done with JayZ and Jeter.

This means a lot coming from DW's finest troll. I'm by far the best internet message boarder of the three, though. Kevin hasn't really figured it out yet.

The reason I'd like everyone to STFU is because the idea of Lebron "quitting", or throwing the game so that the Cavs tank and he can move on with his career is ludicrous. If you've followed Lebron even casually over the past five years you know he's left everything on the floor, save for a few momentary lapses that I'm surprised aren't more frequent considering his talentless supporting cast year in and year out. The guy is playing hurt, really hurt, but if he admitted as much, asshole Cleveland fans would fry him for being a wimp or a not having "heart". He can't win, so he plays through the pain and is expected to score 40+ points every playoff game. He will, for the next few games, but they'll lose to Orlando anyway.

And I really, really hate the idea of him moving to NYC, sorry Duffs. I love the guy, and ideally would be entertained by him playing games so close to my zip code, but the idea of entitled New York sports fans claiming Lebron for their own just makes my skin crawl. The way NYC media has painted the Cleveland/Lebron situation is classless. If he has to leave the Cavs org, I pray that it is for Chicago.

if he wins a title (or multiple titles) in new york, chicago, or anywhere else but cleveland, your statement will only apply within the borders of cuyahoga county. if anything, the asterisk will hang on the cavs front office for not getting lebron any legit talent to help them win a championship. look at every NBA champ for the last 15 years (except maybe the 2003-04 pistons) and tell me that any cavs squad since 2003 has the same or better team talent level.

rollie's right though, lebron isn't tanking on purpose. what does he have to gain from it? if he wins a title this year, he'll be worth so much more to whomever signs him next year.

LeBron James' hometown mayor ratcheted up the rivalry between Cleveland and New York Thursday, ripping the Big Apple as a place unfit for any self-respecting Ohioan.

"Who the hell would want to live in New York?" Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic told the Daily News.

"I think what he has here is a real connection to people. I hope he always remembers that, because there's a lot of things in life that are more important than an extra million or two."
