I dont think anything is set in stone, but I find it very hard to believe that if he was jumping ship that he would put on a 1 hour special rubbing Clevelands nose in it. He still has strong ties to Northeast OHIO

I think this is a lose-lose situation. If he leaves Cleveland, people will be pissed, if he stays in Cleveland, fans and media in NY, Chicago, etc will feel used and lash out. He is overexposing himself.

I would have preferred he faxed in his decision a'la Michael Jordan.

People all over ESPN are saying "my sources say New York," "my sources say Miami," etc etc. Covering all sides and overhyping the event. Their hyperbole is what makes their radio stations and TV channels almost unwatchable/unlistenable anymore. One guy on ESPN said yesterday that the LeBron announcement will be an event where 20 years from now, people still remember where they were when it happened. I find that hard to believe.

I doubt I'll stick around a TV to watch tonight. What do you do for an hour special on an announcement that takes 5 seconds?

Questions - will this really be as high rated of an event as "experts" are saying? Maybe I am out of it, but I don't think many people really care about this.
