there does have to be signage. clarity i'm sure is open to interpretation doubt they could be punished. fees/fines/rates etc are determined by city and state laws. the interplay between state and local laws is a subject of debate. http://www.dispatch.com/live/content/lo ... ml?sid=101 |

That is so lame. You could park there when it was open. Why isn't someone slapping fines on the property owner for the condition of that hazard and eyesore? |

they should hire one of the Hobo-Valets from the short north to point to open spaces and take like $5 from people. much more friendly solution, though less profitable, i know. any liability issues will be addressed by Hobo-Valet (delivered in his best Sylvester Stallone a la Rocky 5), "sue me for what?" |

Call the Attorney and I am sure someone in his office could tell you what policies tow trucks have to follow and how to file a complaint with the City. Richard C Pfeiffer, Jr Columbus City Attorney 90 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio 43215 614-645-7385 RCPfeiffer@columbus.gov |

Passing it on my way to work this morning, I noticed signs posted at the north and east entrances to the lot. I didn't notice if there was one at the south entrance. |

Yea dude thats a bummer. But my big question is why dont they turn that field behind hound/ravioli room into a sweet huge parking lot and then like charge a buck or somethin. It seems like a big waste of space that someone could be totally banking on. I dont want to hear the green side, because there is a huge amount of city green all along both sides of the olentangy, and down by the ca area. We could turn that mudpit into a parking lot pleeese. I guess I live close enough to walk anyway, but whatevs. |

One of my better George Jones stories of the bender of 2008 was having two cars towed from a bar at 8pm, going to Shamrock and paying for both of them around 10pm or 1030pm after some debate and returning with both of the cars to the bar and drinking til 3am. Once you've spent that much at Shamrock you might as well run up the tab. It doesn't look like much by contrast. Then, there's the tow truck driver who held me at gunpoint in 2007. Scum bags of the Universe. I had a crazy-ass neighbor who, legend has it, jumped the barbwired fence, outran the dogs and firebombed one of their trucks years ago right on their lot. That doesn't sound possible. He was out of town for 2 weeks and said his crappy car was in a legal spot. When he came back it cost him more to get the car out than the car was worth. With Ravari, the crappy thing is that many people used to be able to park at that spot all of the time. So, unless there is a huge new sign- who's going to notice it? You're not going to look for it. When my car(s) was towed from a bar it was in a spot that was always legal for patrons (they still park there nightly), but, I guess the guy who owned the spot decided to change the terms for the evening. Nice!!!!!!!!!! So, I got bad towing karma out of the way in one year. I was on the fast-track in 2007-08 of paying it all up front for the rest of my life. Go get some. Get it out of the way, now. There's too much other stuff to get done. |
