Been thinkin' about trying to get a room within stumbling distance of Comfest to avoid driving afterwards. Anyone ever try this? |

I'd start contacting folks now to let them know you'll be crashing at their place Comfest weekend. The first hotel that comes to mind within stumbling distance is The Hampton Inn at 501 N. High St., but, they probably don't have any rooms available. There's also The Red Roof Inn at 111 East Nationwide Boulevard, which is cheaper than The Hampton Inn and probably still has available rooms. |

Varsity Inn on King and Olentangy wouldn't be too bad to walk, and I think rates are pretty reasonable. Small outdoor pool there too... |

Certainly depends what you're looking for. I walk from 2 blocks north of the park to work at OSU hospital within 20 minutes at a brisk pace, 30 when slow. It's all a really pleasant journey except the last bit over the river and across Olentangy RR. There are likely closer places, but Varsity Inn is pretty cheap and clean. |

I'm hoping to get arrested nightly. This takes care of my ride to my room. |

This isn't Comfest-specific, but I've gotten rooms at the Westin and the Hyatt at Capitol Square for ~$100 a night via Priceline. You'd be just a quick bus or cab ride away from Goodale if you stayed at either. |

Yeah, the downtown Red Roof Inn is way nicer than your average RRI. |

Hi underspecialization! It's the English translation of an artist's statement of intent about this MASSIVE (200 feet long) knit bunny installed in the Italian countryside by an artist collective named Gelatin. They put it there in 2005, and plan on keeping it there for 20 years. Which is all very artsy-fartsy, I admit. Mostly, I just really, really like bunnies. |
