Zpizza seems like a faux-artisan California Pizza Kitchen sort of chain, but I could be wrong...

I heard some good things about Fabians, but Chicago style isn't really my thing.

We will not slay California style "pizza." Pizza is good. Nothing good comes from California except weed and vapid blondes.

We will only slay Chicago style pizza in Chicago. This will happen in two weeks as we will go there and eat three pies in one day! Our pizza tour guide has already arranged this.

It's good to know you guys aren't afraid to tackle "bottom shelf" chains like Gumby's.

The economy is down and some people out there need to know if Gumby's is worthy of their $4.
Looks like that review upset someone at Smokin' Joes, which should automatically dock them one pizza slice in their review (which is close to a 5-slice pie).

I second the Bellaria review, good stuff. But if you go there order some pasta as well.
I say do Ledo's on Bethel, I'm sure you've had it Hinze.
Can't wait for the Gatto's and Planks reviews.
Keep it comin' dudes. This blog is making me horny.

what's that place in Gahanna that won that international pizza tasting thing a few years back?

Gahanna Pizza something.......I can't remember...and I could be wrong about that, too. Matt Moreman and I went there on a lunch break a long time ago, the day after they won the award. we picked it up, got in the car, but refused to eat it until we got back to work. It looked really good, lots of toppings and shit. It tasted like the guy who started Donato's......uh, Mr. Donato I guess....anyway, it tasted like it was the gourmet pizza he made in his house, before he started a chain style pizza place. good.

anyone?

also, hey Rollie...."hi" through the internet! how was the trip? Devo's on his way back, right?

Yeah Rollie! Looks like that Smokin' Joe's guy may even be a total fucking dick.

Smokin' Joes will get reviewed. We love it, but I must wonder which pie we will get. Some days it is a clear 5/5, while on others it sucks. In fact, the worst pizza I ever had was a Smokin' Joes. Maybe when this tool works there it tastes like shit.?

Glad to see you are well in NYC, no homo.

no, you look to be on target. the menu in the window looks like somebody making california-pizza-kitchen style shit with ME in mind. i can't wait for the thai-peanut one . . .

but truth be told, columbus' best kept pizza secret is bono pizza on russel right next to goodale park. fucking astounding italian-style pies & dessert crepes. i've had four of their pies in the last 5 days. i'm fucking addicted.

i haven't been there but i'm fairly sure that's the only wrestling themed pinball that was ever made. not a very good game although fairly standard for Data East games of that era.

somebody should put the rotolo's jingle over the central city recording studio's commercial so it looks like that is what the band is playing. i'm pretty sure that's what they were playing anyway.

Isn't Donato's actually owned by McDonalds now?

Regarding Gahanna, are you talking about Gahanna Pizza Plus? They have one in Bexley too, aptly named Bexley Pizza Plus. Lived on it when I lived there, along with Johnson's Ice Cream.

My office is very near Gahanna Pizza Plus. They're nice dudes in there, and they've got a rad lunch special. 8 inch one topping with a can of soda for $4.65. I hit that about once a week. It always makes me happy.

BPP (yeah you know me) is an amazingly good pizza joint, one that never fails to impress my pals when they visit Bexley. I'd have to think GPP is equally good. That Chef Boy-ar-dee on a saltine cracker dump next door (Rubino's) could only stay open in Ohio, or maybe in St. Louis, where they think that stuff is pizza.

No love for Adriatico's? What's wrong with a ton of garlic? Nothing, I say!

We are very excited about this Pizza Plus shop. Perhaps an undiscovered TITAN OF PIZZA?

Perhaps a side by side comparison of Bexley and Gahanna would be interesting as well.

Being near Newark, I ate this a lot as a kid. Damn good pie!
Adornettos is bad though.
