you mean the place that used to be an Indian joint? Northwood and High or something? I hope they tagged it with something along the lines of 'this food isn't very good.'

they have about as much cred as the ass clowns that tried to bring back break dancing. and the true suck of the situation is that they're only gonna get more excited after they see that "Infamy" movie.

perhaps they should all get together and then pbj can tag their card board.

What didn't you dig?

I ate there last week and thought it was on par with El Vaquero, if not maybe even a slight bit better, but that is my only experience with the place.

well, as context, i'll admit that i'd also catagorize El Vaq as 'not very good', and I agree they're similar. Also consider that we went about a week after opening, so there may have been some unironed kinks, and we were a table of 8. That being said, one of the 8 orders came out correctly. There were some glaring omissions, like no beans and rice with one combo, no sauce on one order of enchiladas, no cheese on some stuff that was clearing meant to come with cheese, I got ground beef instead of refried beans, etc. Also, the 8 entrees came out over the span of about 15 minutes, so one woman was waiting on her food while everyone else was done. I attribute some of this to a language barrier that was fairly thick, despite the fact that the staff was very friendly and tried really hard to be helpful. We were pretty much saved by having one spanish speaker at our table.

In general, everything tastes as if it came from a can and not homemade. bland sauces, gross beans, everything sort of under seasoned. Just kinda generic. They do however, have good chips and were generous with them. And as I said, the servers were very attentive, if not particularly effective on the first try.

Agreed.

There did seem to be some service issues happening around our table, maybe we got lucky. It's relativly cheap and in the nighborhood so hopefully they'll work it out.

i should be adult and apologize and take my lumps for that. so, for that, i am sorry.

my point was to be biting and criticize the "taggers" that i believe their artistic integrity is about on par with the Breakin' movies of yore.

that's a bit of a back peddle, but cool people don't need to be insulted by me being inarticulate.

as for those who cookie originally mentioned i will concur and make the same response: "jackasses"

Tagging private property is stupid. Sorry if that offends you. If you are into it, why not tell PBJ where you park your car??

what are you guys talking about? doing everything in your power to help small businesses rack up unexpected cleanings & repairs until they're forced to close is TOTALLY art. for art's sake, even . . .

They're not endorsing graffiti. They just didn't like the breakdancing joke. It starts a slippery slope of lumping together all things hip-hop and painting* them in a negative light.

*Pun intended. Taste it.

i was the original lumper. and my apology was only for the breakdancing joke.

i think that sneaking around small privately owned businesses after dark lacks originality and is wrapped in cowardice.

now Turk 182, that was inspired :D

Most commercial leases require the lessee to clean up graffitti. So, the small guy gets nailed again. Someone tagged our loading door with some jibber jabber scribble scrabble. I dunno what it says but thank god it's just the door. I'm thinking of returning the favor of artwork to the artisit if anyone can help me decipher the nonsense. And I'm sure the artisit will be be thrilled that he has opened up the floodgates of art that is raining down on his rented north campus apartment.

Noted. I just wanted to chime in before the other misunderstanding got out of hand. Dunno if I agree with the cowardice assessment; I'm certainly not brave enough to go around vandalizing people's stuff (not that I want to). I just think they're inconsiderate POS's.

hey cookie, fuck you.

i think that the average donewaiting poster's coke habit has ruined the lives of more people who are truely impoverished, than the number of small buisness that have been ruined by PBJ doing tags.

What an eloquent defense of petty thuggery. You must be so proud.

I seem to recall at least one person here claiming to be proud to be part of PBJ. I just didn't fuck up that thread by posting in it.
