Seriously, fuck this guy. He was in no way qualified to take the job in the first place, and that in itself made him negligent and partially responsible, along with Dir of HLS head Michael Chertoff. The only reason he got the job is because of his connections to Bush and his cronies. Michael Brown is the prime example of the absolute joke of a society we live in. You don't need talent, or education, or dedication, or skills, or imagination, or ability, or anything that will allow you to "pull yourself up by your bootstraps" and "rise up" or whatever bullshit people like to repeat. You just have to be either male and/or white and know the right people, and you to can be in charge of a massive federal agency responsible for the lives of hundreds of millions of people.

But in the spirit of the New Year, here's wishing Mike Brown well, and hope he goes the way of Ron Brown very soon.
