The quote in the Dispatch concerning the dilapidated vehicle is misleading, also. What defines that? There is a big difference with vehicles that are just sitting on the street that are broken down and running usuable work vehicles parked in a home owner's driveway. Are they to rent a storage space for this work vehicle and drive their other car (assuming that there is one) to it on a daily basis before they can start their work day?

I would suppose if the roofer, plumber, mason or whatever business owner keeps the ladders on the vehicles all shined up....that would still be not be good enough either if it is parked in the driveway of the house they OWN and pay Worthington city taxes on.

How about the person who offers driving instruction for AAA? There are signs on those cars, also.

Some people have way too much time on their hands to brings these kinds of petty things to a city council. This kind of nit-picking serves no purpose whatsoever.

I am sure there is something on the books to take care of abandoned cars already concerning that misleading quote in the article....and that is not really part of the two issues being considered right now....provided that the rest of the Dispatch article is accurate.

Worthington threw out the prohibition on "out of season" holiday lights and will throw out the commericial vehicle parking prohibition in residential neighborhoods, save for large vehicles like dump trucks.

Nice for common sense to prevail for a change.
