Very interesting, the idea of Jandek being over-exposed. Or maybe the comment was tongue in cheek and my irony-detector is broken. Yes, he played SXSW last year as well, but this is one of only 30 live appearances he’s made … ever. 15 of these have been in the US, and the music and musicians have almost always been different from gig to gig. So, it’s still a pretty rare opportunity to see his music performed live.

The Corwood rep will be performing for the second time with the band from his June gig in Ft. Worth, with Susan Alcorn on pedal steel, Ralph White (ex-Bad Livers) on fiddle and banjo, Ryan Williams on bass and Will Johnson on drums.

For what it’s worth, everyone involved is very excited about it, and the rest of the bill is killer as well. And the venue itself is beautiful.

    See y’all there?
